Bryght guy and Urban Vancouver editor Richard Eriksson will be speaking at ONA 2007 in October in Toronto.
From the ONA 2007 Conference website:
QUOTEWelcome to the ONA 2007 conference home page. We're very excited about this year's lineup. The planning committee has been hard at work creating a dynamic conference featuring speakers Hilary Schneider, of Yahoo!, and Ross Levinsohn, formerly of Fox Interactive.
This year, we decided to poll our members for ideas on topics and format. We received many great suggestions and have put together a thought-provoking lineup on journalism, the dissemination of news and information, and cutting-edge technology as well as hands-on workshops and quick courses.
The conference will culminate with the announcement of the 2007 Online Journalism Awards winners.
"This year's conference, our first international gathering, is not to be missed by online news professionals or anyone else interested in how news and information are disseminated online," said Ju-Don Marshall Roberts, conference chairperson and managing editor of washingtonpost.com. "The three tracks - community and convergence, content and design, and business - are designed to meet the needs of our various constituencies. In addition, we'll have several hands-on workshops and panels to give participants the skills they need in a multimedia landscape. Plan to attend and get your passport ready."

This DemocampVancouver#4 is going to be the last one before Christmas and is at Workspace. We're looking for sponsors to host a social venue after the event because it was so successful last time.
Remember, we want to mix the tribes: invite friends from marketing, film, television, gaming, investment, or other non-tech areas, and encourage them to present.
Use the wiki page to also show attendance if you like, but mainly to add more info about the demo that you'd like to pitch, or ideas that you have:

But by necessity, our need to share information is pushing us to collaborate beyond any arbitrary boundaries. What does this mean for our profession? By going to content management systems, are we just catching up with today, or preparing for tomorrow? Will Content 2.0 catch up to Web 2.0? Strategy A is bringing the first content management conference to Vancouver that covers content management from both the Web and XML structured authoring perspectives.
