Hello there. This is my first post on Bryght.com, but that is only because I have been very involved behind the scenes making Bryght work (tm). I have however decided to break radio silence to share the following site, created by my friend, and co-drupal developer Ber Kessels.
The Drupal Theme Garden is a site created in the mould of the fantastic CSS Zen Garden (the creator of which designed the fabulous Urban Vancouver template for us), which allows you to test out the available Drupal themes. Currently not that many templates / themes have been updated for the Drupal 4.5 release, but when they have been updated, they will all appear on the Drupal Theme Garden. It also includes the PHPTemplate engine, which was written by me, and allows the use of templates written in pure PHP, as used by sites such as Spreadfirefox.com, Civicspace Labs and Oasis Magazine.
This site was made possible due to the extensive work on the Drupal theme system done by myself, and other Drupal developers for the next release. We have taken the utmost care to make the theme system as friendly as we could, while not losing any of it's flexibility. Other hilights of Drupal 4.5 include the extended localisation support, customizable menu framework and enhanced text filter system. This is really going to be one of our best releases ever, and we are busy working very hard on making the next release even more spectacular. FYI: The first official release of the Bryght hosting platform will be based on the Drupal 4.5 release, with some very special extra features that didn't make it into an official release of Drupal yet.
The future is so Bryght, i have to wear shades.
